Ms. Platt New Waldron Tennis Coach
Ms. Platt is Waldron Jr. Sr. High School’s Tennis coach. She coaches both girls and boys tennis. She played tennis in both high school and college. While it is her first year coaching at Waldron, she previously coached basketball at Morristown for five years. Ms. Platt is not coaching any other sport this year.
Ms. Platt found out about the job opportunity through the Waldron Will facebook page. She chose to take on the job because of the influence of her previous coach in college, who helped her love the sport and to want to coach. She wants her tennis players to want to continue to play tennis, just as her coach made her want to continue. She is a hard-worker and very determined as well as an overall friendly woman. Ms. Platt said that her favorite thing about coaching is, “The kids teach me more than I teach them.”
She wants to make every player better in the coming year. She wants to build the program by letting more people know about the program. Hard-work is her main goal in her players. She wants her players to work hard at playing the game. She wants her players to enjoy the sport but to also work hard at what they do. She wants them to feel they did their best, even if they lost the game. She loves playing the game a lot and wants them to as well!
