The Waldron Mohakws defeated Delaware Christian 64-50 to finish the day 1-1 at the Bud Brown Classic hosted by Muncie Burris. Waldron continued to play great team basketball, tallying 20 assists on 24 made field goals. Four Mohawks scored in double figures as the team made 57% of their shots in a balanced team effort. Senior Cameron Wells was selected to the all-tournament team and paced the way with 17 points, five rebounds, six assists, three steals, and zero turnovers. Senior Cole Adams added 15 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Junior Zane Smith added 12 points and eight rebounds. Sophomore Parker Huffman contributed 11 points, six rebounds, and six assists.
The Mohawks are 2-1 on the season and are back in action on Friday as they travel north to face Triton Central, a historic county rival. The game will be a girls-boys varsity double header.
