The young men traveled to Hauser on Saturday to get back the Hope Classic title. A cool chilly day seemed to help the Mohawks as they finished the week 4-0 and winning both matches on Saturday to win the annual Hope Classic.
In semifinal match Waldron defeated Edinburgh 4-1.
#2 singles Shawn Cole defeated Brayden McManaway 6-1, 6-3.
# 3 singles Dakota Tillison filling in for Bryce Flippen rolled 6-0, 6-0 over Travis Jones.
#1 doubles Dalen Williams and Ian Carter dominated 6-0, 6-0 over Parker Newman and Isaiah Estes.
#2 doubles Cody Beal and Tyler Bowlby won by defeat.
#1 singles Parker Huffman lost to Coltan Henderson 6-3, 6-3 .
In championship match Waldron defeated Hauser 3-2 to avenge a 4-1 defeat 10 days ago.
#1 singles Parker Huffman lost to Ethan Wallace 6-2, 6-1.
#3 singles Dakota Tillison won again 6-4, 6-4 over Keagen Miller .
#2 doubles Cody Beal and Tyler Bowlby lost 6-2, 6-2 to Tyler Moore and Caleb Hoover.
#1 doubles Dalen Williams and Ian Carter got a big win 6-4, 2-6, 10-4 over Aaron Mee and Jacob Luken.
It all came down to #2 singles Shawn Cole who had defeated Sean Miller twice already this season. A little tighter match the third time around as Shawn won the first set 7-6 (7-3), then dropped the second set 6-4 to set up third set tiebreak. Shawn would not be denied in capturing it 10-5 to secure the trophy.
