The Waldron Mohawks lost to Centerville 60-51 on Senior Night. Waldron took a lead into the half and battled back in the fourth quarter, but a dominant third quarter by the bulldogs was the difference.
Waldron seniors held their own in the first quarter, with Zane Smith, Cody Beal, Drew Everhart, and Nate Bernard joining Parker Huffman in the starting line up. Bernard grabbed two first quarter rebounds in his first varsity start. Cody Beal had a good game, adding four points, while Zane Smith added eight points and five rebounds. Senior Drew Everhart scored six points and grabbed a season-high six points and five rebounds.
Juniors Parker Huffman and JT Johns paced the Mohawks offensively. Huffman led with 13 points and five assists, while Johns added ten points.
The Mohawks want to thank the four senior ball players and our senior manager Anna Evans. Waldron is back in action at Eminence in a week before preparing for the IHSAA sectional.
