The Mohawks hosted their first Mid-Hoosier Conference game Saturday night against the Edinburgh Lancers. The Mohawks started sluggish, getting in a hole early trailing 14-11 after one quarter. Bryce Yarling had 8 points in the second quarter to keep the Mohawks close heading into the half, 30-26. Shawn Cole led a good third quarter for Waldron, cutting the deficit to 1 point heading into the fourth. The game was back and forth all period, but in the end, a JT John’s 3 pointer to tie the game just rimmed out and the Mohawks fell 52-47.
The varsity team is back in action Friday at home for a boys/girls double header on Military Night vs. Morristown.
