The Waldron Mohawks battled, but fell to Crothersville in their final game at the McKee Munk Invitational. The difference in the game was Waldron’s 18 turnovers that turned into Crothersville baskets more often than not.
Waldron was led by junior Parker Huffman with 17 points, five assists, two rebounds, and no turnovers. Senior Zane Smith and sophomore Tyler Bowlby joined Huffman in double digits, both scoring ten points. Smith also brought in five rebounds while Bowlby brought in seven rebounds and dished out six assists. Junior Shawn Cole provided a spark off the bench, contributing six points.
Waldron is back in action next Friday night in the first game of the first round of the Shelby County tournament. The Mohawks play the hosts and defending county and state champions, the Morristown Yellow Jackets.
