The Waldron Mohawks boys junior high track team came in second place with 40 points against Southwestern (44) and GCA (36).
Eighth grader Bryce Yarling paced the Mohawks with 16.25 points. Yarling convincingly won the 110m hurdles, the 800, the 1600, and was the anchor leg of the winning 4 x 400 meter relay team. Skylar Ferguson, Will Larrison, and Jacob Lindsey joined Yarling on the 4 x 400 relay.
Seventh grader Braylon Williams brought in 8 throwing points, winning the shot put and placing second in the discuss. Jacob Lindsey scored individually in both the field events and on the track, placing second in the long jump and winning the 400.
Sixth grader Skylar Ferguson placed third in the 400 and came fourth in the 100 meter dash.
Eighth grader Alex Bonilla scored int he 200 meter dash, coming in fourth.
The junior high Mohawks are back in action next week on Tuesday at Southwestern with Shelbyville and on Thursday at Greensburg.
